Ten-cabins, an icon of Japanese artistry. Check availability, prices and preferences
In a world that rushes, Seven Stars whispers. Ten suites. Infinite calm. Here, Japanese artisans have created something extraordinary — a moving sanctuary where every detail reflects centuries of refined hospitality. Your steward remembers not just how you take your tea, but the precise moment you prefer it served. The pianist in Blue Moon plays at dusk. It feels unhurried, precise and deeply personal.

Secure one of ten suites aboard Japan's most coveted train, where artisan interiors create genuine tranquillity in motion.
Begin at Japan's most prestigious address—The Ritz-Carlton Fukuoka—where Ohori Park views frame your pre-departure anticipation.
Savour authentic flavours from temple kaiseki by Buddhist monks to Shippoku cuisine as Kyushu's culinary heritage unfolds seamlessly.

Your journey begins in Fukuoka at the Ritz Carlton before boarding Seven Stars. Day one brings the calm of Yufuin; the following morning, you wake with Aso on the horizon, a private lunch at Taishoji temple and the elegant wabisabi of bonseki. Cross the Ariake Sea by ferry to the onsen towns of Unzen and Shimabara. In West Kyushu, dinner reflects Shippoku traditions and the Kenban geisha perform in Nagasaki. Returning towards Fukuoka, the Kunisaki Peninsula reveals UNESCO recognised “circulation type” agriculture, while views of Mt Yufu frame your final miles. Off train, we arrange ryokan stays and cultural encounters that feel instructional without ever being didactic — indigo dyeing, washi paper, tea, swordforging.

Travel with quiet confidence knowing every transfer has been orchestrated to eliminate friction, leaving you free to absorb each moment.
Sleep where feudal lords dwelt in the Tachibana clan residence and dine privately within temple walls welcoming only honoured guests.
Claim one of eight private forest villas where your outdoor hot spring awaits: no queues, simply therapeutic waters beneath canopies.

Every cabin has an ensuite. Suites (10 m²) are intimate; Deluxe B (17 m²) and Deluxe A (21 m²) add space and positioning for optimal views. Expect premium bedding, individual comfort controls and 24hour service. Between courses in the Jupiter dining car and a nightcap in Blue Moon, the Observatory becomes your private theatre for Kyushu’s landscapes.

All drinks are included on the Seven Stars train, with the exception of select vintage wines and champagne. The cuisine aboard Seven Stars reflects the luxury and elegance of the train itself. Meals are crafted by top chefs from Kyushu, offering a refined mix of onboard and offboard dining experiences. While you won't find Kyushu's regional ramen varieties, the quality and presentation of the food are exceptional and won't disappoint.
Children under 12 are not permitted to travel.
Tipping is not customary in Japan, but staff may appreciate it if guests wish to give something at their own discretion.
